Competence Center Podgorica

The offices of the Competence Center Podgorica are used for numerous seminars, trainings, workshops as well as for the Business Advisory Center. Organized by the Mayor’ s Bureau for Supporting the Business Community, in cooperation with the Association of Business Women of Montenegro, over 70 entrepreneurs visited the Free Business Counseling Center for Women and Youth in the Capital City territory. Also during 2019 two free workshops for citizens were organized – “Personal training for the purpose of business development” and “Personal finance management” .

The Center is currently being used by several NGOs and organizations to organize various trainings and workshops, with the Centre’s equipment available, including a digital camera, twenty desktops, five 3D printers and a smart board. The center was also used to hold three-day Coca Cola workshops for young people. Every day, the Center fully justifies its goal of helping to strengthen entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized businesses, and encouraging young people to take a creative approach to developing business ideas for training and mentoring programs for MSMEs and unemployed young people in the area of ​​developing business competencies, and introducing new ones. technology and innovative solutions into business. The Competence Center was opened in cooperation with the Employers Union of Montenegro (UPCG) as an activity of the cross-border competenceNET project of which UPCG is a partner in Montenegro, and is implemented within the INTERREG IPA CBC Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2014-2020 program.

Also, an initiative has been launched to establish the office of the “Mechanism for Environmental Cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe” within the Competence Center Podgorica. The mechanism is aimed at promoting the “17 + 1” Initiative. encouraging the exchange of ideas and good practice in the field of the environment.
