The public opening of bids received at the Public Call for the selection of business zone users and the allocation of plots for the construction of facilities in business zones was held today, and 19 bids were received at the address of the Capital City Podgorica. The great interest in the business zone project is an additional confirmation that Podgorica represents an attractive business environment, with dynamic development and competitive investment policies.
In the event that all 19 applications are implemented, 944 jobs will be created, and the total value of the investment is 114 million Euros.
The business zone project is of great importance, not only for Podgorica, but also for Montenegro, and it represents the great potential that the Capital City Podgorica has, it opens up opportunities for numerous investments, it creates space for the development of new businesses and the creation of new jobs.
We remind you that business zones are intended for the following activities: agriculture and agro-industry, processing and wood industry, professional and technical activities, showrooms and storage, garages and parking lots, as well as catering and accommodation.
Scoring criteria are: the planned number of new employees, the value of the investment, the deadline for the realization of the investment, as well as environmental protection. The Capital City Podgorica, guided by the protection of public interests, will choose credible partners on the basis of these criteria, and companies that are not financially stable could not participate in the public invitation, as well as those that regularly do not pay their obligations to the state or have final convictions for criminal offenses in their business activities.
