As part of the cycle of presentations of Podgorica’s investment potential to foreign investors, called “Podgorica Investment day”, the Capital City Podgorica, in cooperation with the Embassy of Turkey in Montenegro, presented investment opportunities to representatives Turkish business circles.

On that occasion, City Manager Marjan Junčaj presented the investment environment in Podgorica, opportunities and advantages for domestic and foreign investments, as well as the Business Zone project.

“With this project, it is possible long-term lease of 30 years  of the free plots available in the capital city, which are located near Podgorica Airport, under very favorable conditions, and some of the main criteria are the amount of investment and the number of newly employed people “, said Junčaj and added that in addition to this project, there are other investment potentials, and he particularly highlighted the water bottling factory project.

The head of the Service for International Cooperation, Ljiljana Šćepanović, pointed out that the Capital City Podgorica administration continuously works to create adequate conditions for attracting foreign investments.

“We are organizing this event in order to improve the business environment, further development of entrepreneurship in Podgorica, as well as to better present the potential of business sector development in the Capital of Montenegro,” Šćepanović pointed out.

Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Songul Ozan emphasized that the cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the Capital City Podgorica is very good, as well as that meetings of this type can bring numerous benefits for both countries and influence the deepening of cooperation.

“Our goal is for these meetings to be good business platforms where numerous investment potentials in Podgorica can be discussed. We are particularly pleased with the fact and knowledge that numerous infrastructure projects are already being implemented in Podgorica, and we expect that there will be even more in the future. Let this be the starting point of Turkish investments in Podgorica, where everything starts, and which will eventually spread to the whole of Montenegro”, concluded Ozan.

Advisor for trade relations of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey, Erdal Karaomeroglu, said that through the business zone project, they will work together to encourage Turkish investors to invest, especially when it comes to the production sector.

“Podgorica is the subject of our attention as a very attractive destination for investment, and statistical data supports this, as a large number of Turkish companies are already located in Podgorica”, emphasized Karaomeroglu.

Podgorica Investment days is another opportunity to present the investment potential of Capital City Podgorica to the business community, as well as all the relevant information that is necessary for business entities that already operate or intend to invest in the territory of Podgorica.
