The mayor of Capital City Podgorica, Olivera Injac, PhD met with Nina Drakić, PhD president of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro, with whom she discussed improving the business environment in the Capital City. As it was concluded, there is a mutual interest in intensifying cooperation through the implementation of projects that can accelerate the economic development of Podgorica.

 “The Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro is an important partner in the context of economic cooperation, and together with credible collaborators, we will act in the direction of creating the best possible business environment and faster economic development of Podgorica”, said Injac.

The president of the Chamber of Commerce of Montenegro,. Nina Drakić, PhD pointed out that cooperation with the Capital City is very important, especially due to the fact that a significant part of the Montenegrin economy operates in Podgorica.

“We are open to cooperation on various projects with the aim of promoting the entire economy, but also the circular green economy, and we are also interested in the field of waste management, where we would work together to improve the situation at the level of the Capital City,” said Drakić.

The Acting Secretary of the Secretariat for Finance, Balša Špadijer, said that it is necessary to work on removing business barriers, with continuous education of the public and bringing the economy closer to the sources of funds. As Spadijer stated, this will create favorable conditions for young people in Podgorica, but also in the whole of Montenegro. Spadijer also emphasized the importance of data analysis and expressed his belief that the Capital City will successfully cooperate with the Chamber of Commerce on that front as well.
